On the worksheet linked below, you will see my favorite strategies for each step of creating an essay also known as the recursive writing process. These worksheet breaks the process down into five steps. As I reflect back on it, I realize that most of the strategies I included on mine were essential when it came to writing an essay. Majority of these were strategies that I used prior to this college english course. However, following the thread, free writing and having the essay read aloud to me were three that I was unfamiliar with or did not use before. Through this English 110 course, I was able to learn new essay generating strategies in addition to continuing to practice the old ones. These strategies quickly became a normal part of my routine in this process. Overall, each one of these have become a key part in how I create the an essay from the free draft to the final draft.
