Attached you will find the influence paper written by myself as well as two other nursing students in my class. The paper dives into catheter associated urinary tract infections which are a very common infection in and out of hospitals. In addition, each study we focused on, suggests ways to prevent or lower the risk and if they were successful. Unfortunately, none of the studies provided significant evidence of benefits and therefore, we would not change our practice solely based on these three studies. However, it is important to continue the education and hopefully find more evidence to support these techniques or new techniques that will help us to prevent these infections in hospitals as well as educating the community on them.
