Learning Outcome 5 & 6

Learning Outcome Five & Six

MLA was always the citation we used in high school however I never memorized the format for the works cited. This year, for the first and a little bit for the second paper, I referred to the “Little Seagull” book to check the format. By the time I got to the third paper, I was pretty confident in the format of the MLA citation. With that being said, I did check it with the “Little Seagull” book to be sure about them. I can say now that it is definitely easier to create the works cited for the MLA format. In contrast, the formatting for MLA within the paper was always pretty clear to me. The only area that was a little fuzzy was where to put the quotations when you did not need to include the page or person. These smaller scale revision would be referred to as “local revisions”.  After creating a free draft, I will have it read to me or read it out loud to see if I can catch any sentence errors in wording or punctuation. The three papers I have completed in my english class have provided me with confidence in my process and in making edits.
